Faith in Texas, with the permission of Redeemed Women, is inviting you to have a conversation about racism and its visible effects in our local communities as we ride Redeemed Women’s van (aka Vanna White) through to the South Dallas’ ​Fair Park/ Bonton neighborhood. This experience will provide the opportunity to hear first hand from Redeemed Women about the everyday challenges their friends face in their community. The ride will conclude with an offer of opportunities to partner in building relationships that address the spiritual, physical, and vocational needs we learn about. Non-partisan Vigil for Democracy

First Unitarian Universalist Church will host non-partisan Vigil for Democracy ?. Please join the non-partisan Jan. 6th Vigil for Democracy hosted at First Unitarian Church of Dallas (4015 Normandy Avenue) by more than a dozen local faith and justice organizations. Stay socially distanced. Dress for cold temperatures. No access to church buildings. Freedom Friday Bailout

Join this Freedom Friday at the Dallas County Jail to support bailing out captives who will return to their families, jobs, and community.   Faith in Texas aims to draw attention to the inequities within the money bail system and engage community members – especially those directly impacted – in the process to address those injustices Please come out with us and other community leaders from different backgrounds and faiths to stand up for families impacted by the legal justice system.

On Monday, February 21st from 1:00 PM - 2:00pm ET you’re invited to join Black clergy from across the country as we celebrate the Late John Lewis’ Birthday with the launch of the Rise and Vote, Voting Rights Campaign! We are prepared to have over 200 clergy on the call to Participate in 15 mins of prayer for our people to remain encouraged and courageous Hear research by New Georgia Project on Black voters Collectively act with other Black Clergy from across the country to end voter suppression in our states and expand voting rights nationally. 2022 Faith Forum – Registration / Networking Dinner

The Faith Forum will be a four-day national gathering of clergy, faith leaders, federation directors, organizers, and Faith in Action partners. Faith in Action (FIA), the nation’s largest faith-based grassroots organizing network, is hosting its Second Annual National Faith Forum, Feb. 28-March 3, 2022 in Washington D.C. The 4 day national gathering of clergy, faith leaders, FIA federation directors, organizers, and partners was created to train leaders to move our local, state and federal work forward as a unified response to systems that conspire against black and brown people. Faith in Action in the spring launched a listening campaign to hear leaders’ experiences over the last four years, to share hopes and dreams for the future, and to create a collective vision and priorities for Faith in Action within a shifting political landscape. The campaign’s goal is to listen to 10,000 people and train at least 500 “super leaders” in 20 states and the District of Columbia. Faith in Action is using an anti-racist research paradigm method called Participatory Action Research to determine the key themes and findings and will compile what is learned into a report. The report and findings will be used in advocacy, briefings and in the Faith Forum. During the Forum we envision activities such as: Training and development opportunities for participants. An action in Washington D.C. Advocacy visits with members of Congress. Panel discussions with members of congress and administration. Unveiling of FIA’s Platform based on listening campaign.
