Environmental Justice
Equitable Future For All
The fight for environmental justice (EJ) is intimately tied to broader struggles for social and economic justice. Communities of color and low-income communities are often the most impacted by environmental degradation, and North Texas continues this trend. In Dallas, there is a 15-year difference in life expectancy depending on the zip code you live in.
Faith in Texas is committed to fighting for environmental and human rights for all residents of our state. We believe our role is to assist people to radically imagine and bring about collective change in their community. As people of faith, we are particularly well positioned to break down barriers and develop skilled leaders equipped to engage with existing organizations while remaining connected to a broader coalition of progressive residents and allies dedicated to pivotal causes.
